Yes. I see this particularly with gender. Indeed. I've seen it argued that, "Women aren't equal to men," when discussing equality law, which completely misses the point about equality of opportunity. When someone with a strong ideological viewpoint from one of the poles on this topic discusses it, all reason leaves.
