I have now been revenged for that time in San Francisco when I tried to order tea and thought I explained exactly what I meant by that but received sweet iced tea with milk in it. Me, then;pic.twitter.com/WlRBWbtHxX

Just met an American at a cafe in London and he attempted to order iced tea and explain this to them. He received a steaming teapot full of proper tea and a glass of ice cubes. Him, just now:pic.twitter.com/MOpY3X1jCp

Tell him, go native, young man. I arrived in your fair country for my honeymoon at 1am EST, 5am London time, and said, wtf is an Americano? I just want a coffee! After 10 days of amazing hot beverages, I still crave them everyday... 5 years later

You would have LOVED being behind my husband at Starbucks every morning. An American who only drinks iced coffee, in London, trying to get a venti cup of ice cubes hahahahaha! 🤦🏼‍♀️pic.twitter.com/sscoEecllw

I remember my step mum getting a hot mug of tea with lemon and milk in Barcelona. She's awful so this was brilliant

Lol. Now that’s a blasphemy law I like. Iced tea in America, esp the south is basically sugar water that with homeopathic tea in it. Disgusting.

Hot and cold water are have failed. Civilization is failing. I blame the opposition. Couldn't be my fault.

See, Canada is the perfect mix where you can ask for either and be happy (though “sweet tea” might garner some confusion, we would just say “iced tea”).
