The Marxists are very happy with me for having attacked postmodernism in grievance studies but concerned that I am still not a Marxist. I am now being sent much reading on how overcoming postmodernism should lead society to embracing socialism.

I like Marxists much better than postmodernists. They tend to be polite & consider me misguided rather than evil & they make arguments. However, they also tend to set enormous amounts of homework before you can engage them on their terms & I do not have the interest in economics.

I would really like them to engage the postmodernists more visibly but they generally feel there is little point in this as they are not using reasoned arguments, rarely address class & know very little about economics. They're probably right but I still wish they would.

Replying to @HPluckrose
There was a piece in the Weekly Worker, the newspaper of the Communist Party of GB, that was arguing for a stronger, less polite, pushback against Intersectional Left. https://weeklyworker.co.uk/worker/1206/intersectionality-is-a-dead-end/ …
