And my only evidence for this is that they appeared before the war, weren't Christian at a time when everyone was and there is a gene for breast cancer. I do generally find the drive to have or not to have some non-European, Christian ancestry a bit alarming, I must admit.

My great grandfather was actually Russian Jewish instead of Swedish. My grandmother only found out the truth when she went to her brother's funeral, not too long before she herself passed.
