Some people who were happy with us at first for showing the problem in grievance studies are now upset that we want to fix the scholarship and study gender, race & sexuality rigorously rather than burning everything down.

You will have seen the beginnings of the shift from pure postmodernism into the critical theory we have now. This is when intersectionality, critical race theory, queer theory etc took off.

Clearly, I don’t know the history but it seems important & I’m glad you’re on it. The popular criticism back then was, ‘open minded to the point of closed minded’ but I was studying engineering, so what do I know?
