She was always going to turn to the dark side.
I give it 6 months before she abandons her bland coloured water altogether, and another 6 months before she asks for French citizenship.
-
I thought with sufficient warning, it might be less of a shock to you when she starts tweeting about coffee in French.

le the est vive. le cafe est merde. And, no, I can't even be bothered to put in accents or check for gender or anything. Feel my contempt.

I saw that, Pluckrose.
-
Let it go, Tamara. She’s ours now.

There is no such thing as "proper ground coffee" that one can buy. Whole bean is the only way to buy coffee!

-
Hot takes: Dark roast is horrible burnt water, and doesn't necessarily mean more caffeine. Real coffee uses light to medium roasts. Espresso isn't just dark drip coffee. Cappuccino doesn't remotely resemble hot chocolate with drip coffee in it like Starbucks' says.
-
I do love light to medium roasts. Once I understood what you are saying about coffee, my enjoyment of it improved greatly!

Have you tried any Indian coffee?
@IonaItalia could recommend you some good filter coffee places if you every plan to come to India... And also I would recommend you some spiced tea
-
I could. I love both South Indian filter coffee & chai. Not sure if The Pluckrose could be persuaded to try either, though. The lady is a purist.

I have divided loyalties & mixed DNA but you know that if they perform an autopsy on Helen they will find a Union Jack engraved right across her heart & builder's tea flowing through every vein.

Good! Next step: whole beans and an electric grinder. For maximum freshness.

-
Burr not blade, of course.

If you really want to up the coffee game, get a grinder and buy fresh beans, there's nothing quite like it.
-
Agreed. No going back once you grind.
-
I have two, one electric and one hand-grinder in case the power goes off!
