Don't send your kids there. Do various things to raise awareness of the problem and put pressure on them to raise standards. You could get a load of very typical irrational and illiberal nonsense published to demonstrate this, for example & then reveal that you had done that.https://twitter.com/vrijomslachtig/status/1052521249786621952 …

But what if some universities simply don't want to ensure that? What if they keep insisting that gender studies contributes to knowledge?

Aren't you advocating for the free market of ideas? Let the market decide with support ($£¥€). And govt should stay out of it? Wow, the visit to the US really did have an effect. Mdme Pluckrose, primus inter parum of the British Tea Party.

I have always advocated the free market of ideas and government staying out of them.

But what should we as a society do? Criticize these fraudulent fields until they die out? Because I don't see that necessarily working. And I see the problematic nature of government getting rid of them, but I also see the problematic nature of keeping them around.

They won't die out if people keep enrolling. And since the postmodernist indoctrination starts before students reach University the problem has to be tackled at the root.

Do you think it should be tackled by the government? Because I see how that would be a quick fix, but I also think that would set a precedent, giving them power I think they shouldn't have.

I'm ambivalent about the solution. On the one hand teachers should follow a curriculum excised of political ideology. But there is the danger of a government replacing one ideology for another. I had communist teachers in high school that influenced my political thinking.

Agreed. I think gender studies shouldn't exist, but it seems unwise to use the government as an instrument to reach that goal.

Hopefully showing how much of a corrupt discipline (as Pluckrose & Co. are doing) will dissuade young students from surrendering their future to a life of faux oppression.
