This simply isn't what is being criticised, Richard. Different ways of empirically testing the same thing is not what postmodernists are talking about when they speak of the social construct of knowledge. You are missing the point again.

Actually, I haven't got as far as postmodernism yet. I am merely trying to establish that you can have different epistemologies. Next stage was to look at subjectivity and objectivity. But you might have to wait until the end of the working day.

No, honestly, that's fine. There's no benefit to addressing points not being made. It's just tedious and time-wasting for everyone. Epistemological relativism is not this.

I think my issue is you make it sound like there is nothing but objectivism. well, no, as a researcher of an artificial science, constructivism is (must be) a given.
