Yes. Metaphorical truth is my concept. The porcupine example is also mine, lame as it may be. The belief that you will go to a magical utopia in the sky if you treat people well might be better.

Both were mentioned there. I had taken the truth conflict to be over the use of "truth" to mean "correct" vs to mean "certain". Where Jordan was failing to communicate to Sam a view in which it's incorrect to be certain. But don't listen to me... I don't know jack.

That blurs the line between truth with utility then, doesn’t it? Maybe utility and truth are sometimes the same thing. If one believes in the existence of scientifically unsolvable problems then the two are quite similar, no?
