I have decided that if someone comes along and tells me I am wrong about something I have been studying for many years, I am going to encourage them to research it thoroughly and if they think they can make a case for their alternative stance, to write an essay and send it to me.

I really don't need to be responding to "Actually, it's all Marxism/capitalism/neoliberalism/the illuminate" with a long tweet thread about what it actually is when I could just require them to make their case longform with evidence & a reasoned argument before I address it.

I currently have one person who possibly could - can some of Marcuse be manifesting via black feminism - and if so, I will benefit from reading it all set out and two people who I'm pretty sure could not - all power structures are Marxism & gender theory is all based on 1 doctor.

I read this twice and I still don't understand much of it. Not trying to be an ass, perhaps I'm just too stupid to get it.

"I currently have one person who possibly could (can some of Marcuse be manifesting via black feminism?) and if so, I will benefit from reading it all set out." Subject in parenthesis. Part two is "Two people who I'm pretty sure could not -" e.g. sufficiently make their case >

(Also as reference, Marcuse refers to Herbert Marcuse, a German philosopher/ political theorist and I think also sociologist. He was assoc w/ the Frankfurt school of crit. Theory)

Yes. I am sceptical the Frankfurt School is having much influence at all on current grievance studies but someone things it could be having more than I think via Angela Davis.
