I don't know if the term "Cultural Marxism" is still used in antisemitic conspiracy theories but its not the common meaning. The common meaning now is a confusion of Marxism with postmodernism, identity studies and identity politics. I tried to untangle it today.

Oooh, look at you being so clever you don't ever have to explain why you're right

-
Because hes a troll for the authoritarian left. Facts dont matter.
-
Helen gives you the dignity of a serious answer and an opportunity to engage and get your ideas across and you respond with an Alex Jones meme and gay frog gags? I suppose she is just beneath you in the battle of intellectual ideas?

Art of smear by association: connect without context & assume the meaning of the connection. Unfortunately a classic trick of a hyper partisan age, of both sides, or from the same side if one is thought to be a traitor to it.
-
Calls himself a liberal "globalist". Might very well be a troll, because the word "globalist" is only used by the alt right as part of a conspiracy theory where some secret jewish cabal seeks to control the globe.

Just block him. If your words had made sense to him, he would have more properly investigated your views in this and he wouldn't have drawn that false conclusion in the first place.

@_Saeen_ has no regard for the truth whatsoever, as anyone could see from his treatment of Steven Pinker. -
LOL. Pinker has no regard for the truth. He continues to cherry pick world history.
-
Do you have anything in particular in mind? He painstakingly shows a wide variety of ways in which the world is improving, and gives the likeliest explanations as to why.
-
It's hardly painstaking on his part. He's got grad students and postdocs doing much of the work for him. He decides on the argument he wants to make, and then tells them to fetch the data. Right now, we're dealing with a return to authoritarianism (fascism) around the world.
-
I see you have no grad students helping you make a coherent argument.
-
See, you can't even pretend to be about intellectual honesty when you engage like that. Responses like that only illustrate that it's just obvious dick riding of an academic that tells you things you want to hear about people that you don't like and oversimplifies everything.
-
What honest engagement do you want to a total non sequitur like the rise of "fascism" (nationalism, I imagine you mean)? This isn't something Pinker supports or minimizes. Instead, he's pointing to the reasons for the incredible progress humanity has seen.
-
And economic nationalism and ethno-nationalism clearly go against the drivers of this progress. An endorsement of Enlightenment values is not an endorsement of fascism!
