An interesting concept from @BretWeinstein "Idea Laundering", elaborated on by @ConceptualJames. Also featuring @HPluckrose -https://youtu.be/NelsKQQDTxU

There R ppl in USA who remember lynchings. Who reminisce about them. And ur solution to hiccups in the inclusion of these fields is to target them? And you call *them* lunatics!?! How? Do ppl in film have any idea what this could promote? Especially now? Did u think about that?

Yes, there are. Isn't this more reason to do sound scholarship and address problems getting in the way of that?

Typically, at least in my work, its common best practice to consult with peacemaking strategists &those working directly w before increasing tension w those affiliated w vulnerable populations.

That's insane. We can criticise bad ideas in academia without psychologists and peacemaking strategists. That's how academia works. People address ideas in various ways and seek to get rid of the bad ones. They don't call psychologists or mediators to deal with it for them.

Yes. Well spotted. We want people to know the problem and how it impacts on politics. Please go away now. You are very silly and not worth my time.

Helen, Elaine has not being silly and althou IMHO she is dead-wrong, she engaged with acceptable respect, at least compared with the brainless trolls that infest your tweets. We know you don't like trolls and block them but this is just not the case. Take a deep breath please.
