Yes. Definitely. All 4 addressing the issue with respect and best practices. Have you consulted an org. psychologist or conflict resolution specialist? Or anyone familiar in with interventions?
-
That doesn't make any sense. How would they help to show a problem with academic rigour and ethics?
-
You can show the problem, thats great, but call a mediator who knows what they are doing to address it.
-
No. That doesn't make any sense at all.

Typically, at least in my work, its common best practice to consult with peacemaking strategists &those working directly w before increasing tension w those affiliated w vulnerable populations.
-
That's insane. We can criticise bad ideas in academia without psychologists and peacemaking strategists. That's how academia works. People address ideas in various ways and seek to get rid of the bad ones. They don't call psychologists or mediators to deal with it for them.
-
You didnt go through academia. You went public and political.
-
Yes. Well spotted. We want people to know the problem and how it impacts on politics. Please go away now. You are very silly and not worth my time.
-
Helen, Elaine has not being silly and althou IMHO she is dead-wrong, she engaged with acceptable respect, at least compared with the brainless trolls that infest your tweets. We know you don't like trolls and block them but this is just not the case. Take a deep breath please.
-
I havent blocked anyone and I dont need you to teach me your self care practices. I'm ok without. And shaming language is bully behavior.

Calling them lunatics in the media is pretty much the worst approach you could choose.
-
Obviously, we disagree. Are you just going to continue asserting your rightness? I'll leave it here.

If you honestly dont see how it could cause problems to use the approach youre choosing in relation to fields who study vulnerable populations u have no biz being the ppl to address it.
-
We addressed this too. "Unless you agree with me, you should not speak." We disagree that the current method is helpful to social justice aims. We don't think it causes problems to say so. We think it will help or we wouldn't do it.
-
Having an appropriate strategy to what you are navigating has nothing to do with "if you dont agree don't speak"
