This is the problem with seeing blame in terms of groups defined by immutable characteristics. The responsibility for violent assault lies with violent criminals and not with men. The vast majority of men who do not commit violent assault have no responsibility for it.https://twitter.com/simple81/status/1050226311384453120 …

89% of the perpetrators of violent assault are Male. So saying they're more likely to be violently assaulted does not negate their responsibility. They obviously need to be better to eachother as well! (Not all men obviously!)

Here lets remove people and give the same message! Not all cups are purple. But all purple cups are broken. Can we do something about the broken cups please? This is what is being said! But...men are the cups and the purple cups assault people!

What we are suggesting is that perhaps we don't throw all cups in the trash just because some are purple.

Exactly! But tge message is still going out to.the cups! All cups because we cant tell if they're purple right away (not the best example now I see) but the purple cups are the ones who should take note!

Absolutely not prejudiced at all. Send the message out to all Muslims that it's wrong to commit violent jihad because you can't tell if they;re terrorists straight away but they're the ones who should take note. If you don't see this very basic principle, I can't help you.

I don't see that it suddenly becomes OK to hold a whole groups responsible for criminal behaviour of a tiny minority, no. Muslims commit 100% of Jihad.

But the vast majority IS COMMITTED BY MEN! How can you not relate the two things? Again you're missing the point. It isn't all of them! But who else can we take the issue up with? Also, the men who aren't the creeps being refered to, need not be concerned!

You are mistaking class analysis for collective blame. Whether it's accidental or you are just one of those women who makes a living telling men what they want to hear, I don't know. Acknowledging the much higher criminal behaviour of men is not punishing them all individually.

Imagine the same reasoning applied to race, & the "highter criminal behavior" (Please improve you English use!) of blacks were acknowledged. So-called Progressives would demand blood! It's obviously ok to negatively speak about some groups, but not others.

Criminal behaviour through discrimination needs to be called out. Male culture celebrates violence against women and children through porn and video games. Yes, men need to start dealing with their culture of discriminatory violence against weaker people. Its not cool.

1st - that's not 'my culture'. While there are species-wide male propensities, there's no universal male culture & I'm NOT responsible for the misdeeds of other men. 2nd: There's no evidence violent media causes violent action. Millions enjoy watching violence but are law-abiding

Not all cigarettes kill either, but smoke enough and some people will die. Same with racist and sexist media. And violence against women is common to all male cultures across the world, from isis to catholicism, judais and islam. All dehumanise women as inferior

There's a stochastic relationship between smoking & cancer - smoking increases the likelihood of mortality. The same can be said of numerous behaviors, although banning them would be problematic & incur undesirable side-effects like tyranny. Freedom & progress are dangerous.

The vast majority of women, feminist or no, accept that men as a whole do not bear responsibility for it. But that shouldn't stop us from recognising relative risk, and taking appropriate avoiding action.

Depends on the exact nature and message of the response. It’s a bucket-term that can refer to good arguments or bad ones.

Sorry I read “would” as “should”. No, I don’t think any argument or point made in defense of men would at this point meet anything resembling “acceptance” in Feminist or Democratic circles at this point.
