The ironic thing about complaints over practical clothes policing for religious folk is that it's only an issue because the religious clothes policing is too strict. Your boss isn't going to tell you what to wear in church, but your church is telling you what to wear at work.

OK, fine but what plausible motivation for wearing a turban is there when you're not a Sikh? The most likely one is trolling Sikhs, which, if it isn't against another regulation, should be.
-
Some people would rather wear a turban than a bear skin hat. Those things are hot and heavy. Other people just want to wear a turban. Why should the police force be policing exactly which uniform choice its officers wear on the basis of religion if all choices are preapproved.pic.twitter.com/dvYVI1UMHn

Again, odds of anyone other than a Sikh or some Britain First piece of trash who's trying to troll Sikhs wanting to wear one are slim to none. Any non-Sikh who wears one is going to be treated like the cunt he is by most of his peers.
-
The issue isnt if it will happen, the issue is why Sikhs are granted a uniform choice that is not granted to other members of the force. Why cant non-Sikhs police officers wear Sikh-turbans if Sikh-turbans are allowed for Sikh police officers.

Anonymous profile with all the hallmarks of fascist trollery, cheering on protesters who Geert Fucking Wilders flew in to support? Blocked.

Well, no idea about that guy. But he had you in that debate, you have no argument whatsoever except "but whyyyyyy?"

A fundamental principle in running a large pluralistic organization is mutual respect between constituent cultures. Letting non-believers wear the religious garb of believers sets up a potential for major disrespect. Identical dress code for all is less important than this.
-
The problem, if I may be so bold, is the idea of religious garb. Garb is garb. You can judge someone's garb. It's their garb. Their choice. Religiosity has no objective precedence.
