I asked someone to define "bigotry". They replied: "intolerance to any group". I asked if "I'm intolerant to Nazism" is bigotry and he answered YES!!! (then he scrambled, then he called me malicious, then he deleted the conversation)

My definition: "Bigotry": Judging a person based only on immutable group characteristics instead of their character/morals/behaviour. ("bigot" is always used as a negative, so definition shouldn't include anything that is NOT negative - like opposing an ideology)
-
Using words or concepts without defining them is a major problem. Puts all importance on a word (which is mostly hijacked by a political side), instead of the concept it was originally used for. Need definition: racism, equality, alt-right, left/right, bigot, freedom of speech
-
Also in need of definition: "hate speech", "hate crime", "hate group", and "banana". Oh, wait... not "banana". We're good with "banana". It's a kind of fish.

Yeah, you could drive a bus through it. Are we meant to tolerate their company, or just their opinions? If the latter, exactly how tolerant are we meant to be? What if we're their boss and theyre sharing their glowing reviews of the the Holocaust with every customer who comes in?

Toleration is not approval. (My Mom liked that one. Bless her soul.)
