I generally don't allow my students to cite encyclopaedias because they falsely believe they are authoritative. I will take my cues from Habermas on this one...

That's fine. Meanwhile critical theories actually exist - like critical race theory, critical whiteness theory, critical theories of abledness etc & many more. They are discussed collectively as 'critical theory.'
-
Yes, I understand these names are used. However, they are not postmodern in any strict sense.
-
I disagree & have argued why here: https://areomagazine.com/2018/02/07/no-postmodernism-is-not-dead-and-other-misconceptions/ … We are currently writing a book to do so in more detail. No desire to go back to very basic arguments on Twitter.

While it deserves a closer read I am sure, you a correct to say: "[PM] broke things down but having done so, there was not much left to do or say." But, from here, it is disingenuous to say "critical theory" took over. I would say dadaism and absurdism are closer to PM.

They are completely irrelevant to the point. Please see the bit where I explain that critics of postmodernism in a political sense are criticising it in a political sense and no other sense so there's no point in waffling on tediously abt art & architecture.

I'm going to block you because you won't go away and you are either incapable or unwilling to keep up with a conversation which is hardly ambiguous. We are trying to talk.
-
Oh dear. Remember you are the one who chimed in on my reply. Try to have a thicker skin. With an open-mind, you might learn something. I am certainly willing to be convinced.
