gender was convenient, because, although in a linguistic sense, it doesn't necessarily have any connection at all with what we now call gender identity, there being words like Fräulein which is neuter gender, but obviously describes a young woman, there is *_some_* overlap.

"The one most people are actually concerned with, the one most people don't understand, is gender identity." - So now we should reduce men and women to gender identity and ignore biological sex?

Your response doesn't relate to the quoted statement in any way.

Some trans woman on Twitter told me that I'm a woman, because I "identify myself as a woman", just like her and my female body, biology and sexuality has absolutely nothing to do with it.

You can survive this. Other people will always have different views to you and use different words.

Well, if you believe that being a man or a woman is based purely on psychology and has nothing to do with anatomy, sexuality and reproduction then you can also believe in flat Earth.

I accept the science as it emerges. You can choose to define 'woman' purely by reproductive systems & ignore brains, hormones & genetics if you choose. These are the facts.

And you can choose to define 'woman' purely by feelings, fashion choices and behavior. I pretty sure transgender women will love it!

People can choose to do that too, yes. I said this about it which urges going with the science, addressing practical issues & leaving people alone: https://areomagazine.com/2017/09/27/an-argument-for-a-liberal-and-rational-approach-to-transgender-rights-and-inclusion/ … You can't force everyone to agree with you. I am not interested in having this discussion yet again.

Rejection of logic and objective standards will bring chaos and nothing more. We can pretend that physical, sexual differences between two sexes don't exist, but inevitably we'll get smacked in the face by reality at some point.

Again, you are not responding to anything that has been said. I am advocating going with the science. No-one is advocating pretending it doesn't exist. Go argue with people who do. I won't see any more of your tweets.
