I agree. That's why I want to do it rigorously and have been systematically working my way through the most influential scholarship of feminist epistemology, critical race theory, queer theories etc for 8 years now but most intensively for the last one. Book forthcoming.
This is my thing, Idris. It's what I do. Look at feminist scholarship. I wanted to be a feminist historian. My area is how women negotiated patriarchy using religious discourses 1300-1700. Ideology got in the way so I've been looking at the sources for some time now.
