As far as I know, there is no stereotype of women which holds that they are more likely to injure themselves through carelessness & lack of caution to danger. Men, on the other hand....

The line between 'respect women' and 'go ahead and allow them to be seriously hurt by an accident because they don't need your help' is gonna be difficult for everyone.

No, the real thing is that some people are vastly over-sensitive about sexism, to the point where they'd rather fall down a manhole than be warned about it by someone of the wrong gender. The technical term for such people is "idiot".

I'm male, and when I see any kind of unexpected opening a passer-by might fall into, I say nothing, because there are too many people here clogging my commute. ;) I guess one could say I'm a feminist, right?

I do not believe for once second if I were to give you a head’s up if you were about to walk into a manhole you’d call me sexist for it. Would you?

At university, I was daydreaming and about to cross a road when a fellow warned me not to. Probably would've been hit by a car otherwise. He was black (I'm white) but I'm pretty sure his motivation was kindness rather than racism.

It's funny because most people would rather she fell into a million manholes too.

I'd imagine they see sexism under ever bed and in every closet.

Um, “Personholes”. Your internalised misogyny is noted.

I'd happily let this person fall down the manhole too, so I guess we all win!
