In every generation & every culture, I'm with the women and men who seek gender equality but it just isn't true to say that women always have and men were the barrier. Both sexes largely accepted the norms just as they accepted class inequality. It took time to develop our values
Because this was the way they wanted things before they'd made moral progress. Some people will still say gender equality is not that but obviously, I think it is because I am a liberal. My mother was a feminist, her mother an anti-feminist. Our numbers grew.

Let's not fight about this. We live in the present now where we are all on the same page and all opposed to people, men and women, who would return us to rigid gender roles.
