Some people's family thanks them nicely when they dish up dinner. My husband calls for a hacksaw. My child says "I'm going to eat that but only because I need food." I threatened to go on strike & not cook any more but they actually seemed to like that idea. I am unappreciated.

Heh. I went through a stretch like that when the kids were teenagers. My strike lasted about a week till they discovered there was no Clean Dishes Fairy.
