Some people's family thanks them nicely when they dish up dinner. My husband calls for a hacksaw. My child says "I'm going to eat that but only because I need food." I threatened to go on strike & not cook any more but they actually seemed to like that idea. I am unappreciated.

This time fourteen years ago, I was in labour. Unless the child starts being a lot more appreciative of me, I'm going to tell her all about it. Again.

Huh, typical. She has put headphones on and turned the sound up loud before I got to more than 1 cm dilated. I got the breaking of the waters in tho.

Be thankful that you're not married to an engineer. My uncle once produced an entire paper on alternative uses for his sister-in-law's mince pies, including armour-piercing shot, anchors for battleships etc...

Maybe you should let 'em fend for a few days. After a week of Hot Pockets and toaster strudel, they should want some real food. Of course, this could backfire...

Is the implication here that the food is actually good, but unappreciated? Maybe watch some Gordon Ramsay and rethink your approach.
