FFS, of course I don't think people who earn a lot should judge people who earn little on what they spend their very limited free cash on. I've seldom had much until recently and it's been wine & chocolate & boots.

Yes, but think how much wine and chocolate you could have bought!

Probably the most persuasive anti-boot argument you could have given.

The great thing, as a woman, buying clothing worn next the foot, is rather than feeling guilt for indulging in a consumer item, it's an investment that matures w age like wine. I know a girl used to make a living selling her old socks on ebay. Didn't even need to wash'em first..

In fact, wth 36 pairs of boots, if Helen did ever fall on hard times and went to the job centre, they'd probably just laugh at her if she told them. She wouldnt get dole money until she'd liquidated 35 and even then she'd probably be required to purchase an annuity w the proceeds

Liquidated boots? Is *that* how you make shoe pastry? I've always wondered.
-
No it's what the well-heeled add to their smoothies to give them a bit of kick
