Nero is an extremely naughty pupper. Defiant & strong-willed. This comes as a bit of a shock to me. All my previous dogs have at least been sneaky in their naughtiness, had a clear idea of the chain of command they're meant to be respecting & wanted to be called a Good Boy/Girl.

This one? He'll raid the bin while I'm watching him, come upstairs when I am there, run away from me when I'm trying to retrieve something he has stolen, refuse to come when it's time to leave the field & he utterly refuses to observe the golden rule of 'respect the cat.'

Run Nero! Honestly, made no difference with Zorro. He wasn't aggressive with 'nads, and no more obedient postnads. His problem is being a goof, not being male. Had a female dog years ago with very similar personality.

It may not help. But it often does. Also training. Maybe Nero is a dog that needs to be challenged. Otherwise he gets bored and ruins your life. Like a Husky. I love huskies.

I think he needs more exercise and some strict boundaries. But, yes, his naughtiness does not seem to be testosterone-based. No aggression. Much mischief.
