And 'You criticise SocJus approaches because you don't experience social injustice' is just lazy. You need to look at *why* people who overwhelmingly support gender/racial/LGBT equality are criticising this particular approach to it.

I don't get why people are for Diversity but against Racism - they have the same argumentative basis...
-
No they don't
-
yes, they do - Diversity and Racism/Sexism argues that you can make up judgment about the people on basis of skin color, gender, and other factors - otherwise Companies like Google would not make a point of hiring women and black people but would search for other qualities...

This argument made me make this face in real life
The idea is that because of historical discrimination, most areas of academia and innovation are biased towards white people. Diversity and inclusion ensures that more than just white (male) people get to participate. -
Discrimination is actually justified when it's the other way around because black and brown people cannot fit into Western and Eastern civilizations. Sam Harris approve this (even though he say sometimes that it's irrelevant, weird). You should know that since you follow him.
-
Stop @'ing me with your dishonest paraphrasings of sam harris. Come with evidence or I have no reason to believe you, since your kind love to make a hobby out of twisting his words and robbing them of essential context. -
https://mobile.twitter.com/_saeen_/status/895834076762038272 … "muh context" the context is that he contradict himself, race doesn't matter, race matter, he's not coherent

Quoting Sacha Saeen's misrepresentations of Harris is not a good way to appear credible.

I assume your saying a particular type of "white, male, rational thought" is the problem. Not white males who are rational?
-
I am criticising use of the term 'white, male rationalism' to describe rationalism.
-
Ah, ok. I just misunderstood what you were saying. Thanks.

Lumping all ‘white’ men together as if they share some form of collective identity makes as much sense as saying all Sagittareans think the same. And if you say all Sagittareans DO think the same, then I think we’ve spotted the problem.

You realize that's not a thing right? Rationalism isn't a racial attribute unless you're a racist.

That’s the point she’s making.

I think it's hilarious myself; it's one of the cues that tells me I don't need to take the person saying it seriously. Especially if they, well, aren't. One of those "did you hear what you just said?" moments.
