I am going to ignore everyone telling me that the low calorie diet which made me lose 3lbs a week consistently for a year & has made me lose 10 in the last 2 weeks won't work & I need to go back to the keto which I tried for 2 months & couldn't stomach & gained weight on. Go away

Get a bike. If you have on, use that. Find a nature trail near you. Enjoy losing weight in the sunshine. You'll need a handlebar mount for your phone so you can still tweet. I'm kidding - to use your phone as a satnav. No need to thank me.

I can't use my bike right now. When I could I cycled 12-16 miles a day. I am looking forward to being slim enough to use it again and then I can see whether my balance has improved enough to allow for this,

I have an underactive thyroid. No, I really, really do, haha. I'm on Thyroxine for life (if you've never had a blood test to check your Thyroxine levels I recommend you do). I gain 4 stone if I eat a cream cracker. Annoying. Good luck, we're all rooting for you. 👍🏻

I'm just sticking to 1200 calories a day. No specific diet.

Consuming fewer calories than you expend will always work for weight loss. Doesn't need to be complicated.

I ended up going with low calorie to lose 10kgs in 4 months. It worked. Not sure why I stopped but my weight has been stable since so it's fine, but it basically consisted of eggs for breakfast, homemade soup for lunch. Normal dinner and a walk.

I too count calories and lost 25 pounds last year doing so, and have kept it off. It's a simple matter of physics. I have done this before and now 40 pounds below peak weight.

Why can't people grasp that people and their bodies are different, what works for some doesn't for everyone. It's about finding what's best for you! 🙄

A diet regimen that works at 50% efficiency but you are happy with and can maintain beats the pants off a 100% efficiency diet that will make you miserable and feeling horrible and you can't keep up for a week. Diet changes are a long term game. "A la larga" as the bookies say.

Diet(ing) is a very individual thing. I eat 2 meals a day. A friend needs to eat 4 or 5 times. I crave savory, she craves sweets. One size dies not fit all
