That’s fine, you’re obv not obligated to read, respond, or agree with me. But I think the argument you’ve made against me misses the point I’m actually making. We can leave it at that.

(If you like.) And admittedly my point is a bit of a digression. One that I found relevant. I suppose you disagree.

Absolutely relevant & interesting. Just not to me right now. As I said, I need to stop feeling like I have to answer everything & just go with the comments which do apply to what I am thinking thru at the time. Telling ppl I don't want to talk about that bit rn just annoys.

I usually just 'like' tangential tweets that I don't want to follow, or comment vaguely on them then move on (I haven't read this particular exchange in-depth ftr).

Yes, I need to find a method for this. I am annoying ppl by telling them directly that I don't want to go down that route right now coz I am thinking on a different level/category which is honest, but seems to feel to ppl like I'm blaming them for thinking in that direction!

I feel like I'm explaining that I'm not ignoring them because I disagree or because I don't want to acknowledge that but just because I really want to develop a thought a different way which should be better but its not coming across that way. My social skills are not strong.

I did take the QT as criticism of my argument as bad (which I obv disagree with) rather than an indication you simply don’t want to go there. I prob would have responded better to a frank declaration that you’re not interested in that discussion, FWIW.

Ah! Quote tweeting. I get your irritation now. I've had this before when I quote tweet and have considered not doing it any more or at least starting with something which indicates it is not hostile.

But I am getting impatient with people unjustly because I feel like everyone is all over the place when actually all that is happening is several people at once are naturally looking at a thing in a way that interests them. When its fewer ppl it doesnt feel like that.

I remember Richard Dawkins saying 'Don't keep on and on making the same silly joke!' when of course everyone had just made it once & it was funny once. Its coz everyone was making it at him. I'm really struggling with Twitter at the moment. Followers grew quite fast.

And I think quite a lot of people talk to me for an account at my level. I have to get my head around this or I'm just going to have to stop using it or antagonise people who are just trying to have a conversation.

You should certainly keep using it. You’re honestly one of my top 5 people to follow. My jaw dropped a bit at first but it sounds like I misread you. The important thing is how you humbly handled the end of the thread.
