Yes. This is the argument. We are unconsciously racist because of assumptions we have but don't really think about. And yet, our societies have become less & less racist due to the dominant narrative increasingly being that judging people by their race is morally wrong.https://twitter.com/KantBreal/status/1001809217706176513 …

Isn't part of the concept of implicit bias is that is a trait that is passed and not learned? Part of pack survival to protect what is you & yours.

This attempt to 'dig up' further racism and in the absence of finding it, claim that people are racist on the grounds of their race threatens to replace the dominant moral assumption of evaluating people as individuals with evaluating them by race again.

Barbara Applebaum particularly focuses on the need of white people to feel that they are good because they are non-racist as a problem for overcoming racism. I think making it impossible for white people to be good no matter how anti-racist they are would be more of a problem.

This is a great example of how focusing only on bad things that, in many cases, do exist causes people to lose sight of the broader arch of human progress. And the resulting opinions are corrosive and regressive.

Seems to also feed the narrative of males seeking multiple females, but learning & accepting proper attitudes towards women & monogamy. Ethical considerations for other life forms, etc... Don't understand why we can't acknowledge how far we have come & yet still seek betterment.
