I wrote here about the value of arguing with ideological extremists (although I no longer think the concept of the 'centre' is ideal) and I still believe in that. There's just too many of them, they don't deserve my time or attention & they just get in the way of productive conversation. I think Twitter would be a much better place if we all prioritised our attention to those at least trying to be civil, reasonable & honest.

Makes sense to me Helen, and the criticism here seems manufactured and disingenuous. Never dismiss the absurdity of Twitter. I had someone try to pick a fight w me today for suggesting someone else was patient.

I also generally distrust the input of anyone who has the time to nitpick or pick a twitter fight, but responds with "I'll read that later when I have time"
