I didn't impugn them beyond forming an association with that bad exchange. I described the exchange and linked their brand to it.

Your call. It really doesn't matter. No-one's going to think badly of me for blocking people. But if I quote tweeted 'Rachael Meager from X university publicly tweets about people tagging in their work if they block her' you might think I was trying to damage your reputation

I have no objection to you tweeting specifically that I did that to you after our exchange and I would not think that you are trying to damage me by doing so. Making the leap to a generalisation - which I did not do to you in my tweet - provides more evidence of that intention.

Well, I would be. That would be petty and spiteful but it would reflect more badly on me than on you.. Anyway, I don't think anything more is to be gained from us being in contact again so I'll let you go again now.

Get over it. You do not have the right to other people's attention. We decide who we talk to and listen to. I already have several statisticians and I can't say I've found your attitude conducive to further contact. You'd probably report me for not answering you.
