I didn't impugn them beyond forming an association with that bad exchange. I described the exchange and linked their brand to it.

Again: Nobody said stats are "no good"! We said they are complicated and the simple approach you are championing is not appropriate. You then refused to engage further. This is not a pro-science stance and as the magazine champions science I thought it relevant.

I have no objection to you tweeting specifically that I did that to you after our exchange and I would not think that you are trying to damage me by doing so. Making the leap to a generalisation - which I did not do to you in my tweet - provides more evidence of that intention.
