OK, that's it. If you are a statistician who wants to say that the wage gap must be looked at statistically and also that statistics can never ever consider women's choices as their own choices or disprove discrimination as a cause of the wage gap, you are getting muted.

It's a huge problem. If basic mechanisms of rational discourse keep being corroded we will face incredible difficulties. It's Orwellian that people are so enthusiastically, and presumably - at least on some level - engaging in deceit. Keep calling it out, Helen. It's important.

It might be the biggest problem, because it affects how society studies and addresses all other problems. When academic statisticians argue nonsense about causality - which I’m convinced he didn’t understand since he refused to engage on it - it’s very worrying.
