Sometimes, I really wish I could resort to feminist tactics and accuse men condescending to me of mansplaining and talking over my lived experience.
OK, well you lot can do that and let us know if you ever find a way to discover anything about the causes of the imbalance. I'm going to keep focusing on the social stuff and biological stuff.

With regard to social stuff you might want to check out Alesina, Giuliano, and Nunn’s (2013) paper that makes the case that widespread adoption of the plow might have instigated or deepened social norms that contribute to sex-based division of labor.

Helen is an editor for Aero magazine, founded by
@MalharMali (who I went to undergrad with at CCGA and even had an economics class with, if I remember correctly). She blocked me for suggesting a paper aligned with her research interests.@economeager were you blocked too?pic.twitter.com/o8u99psAmJ

Hi. Sorry if you got caught up in my mass blocking & weren't 1 of the people going on & on at me. It doesn't look like you were. I got deluged & just blocked everyone who talked to me about statistics in the end to get my mentions back. I will unblock a load in a couple of days.

Hey I completely understand. I did kinda hop in there on the tail end and I totally get how frustrating those pile-ups in the mentions can be.
-
Thank you. :) Yeah, it had been going on for 16 hours by then & started with loons. They're still in my mentions but it's finally slowing down to about 5 a minute now. I blocked started blocking everyone. Thanks for the paper but my interest in statistics is minimal.

I mean there are some great papers using structural statistical analyses already that I find very plausible, see for example Heather Sarsons' JMPhttps://scholar.harvard.edu/sarsons/publications …
