German researches have shown that - making allowance for part time working, different carreer choices etc there was an inexplicable pay gap of abt 8 % in Germany. This looks like a minor gap but for a lifetime it adds up hugely and creates a big gap in pension benefits.

Uber found a 7% gap between men and women which suggests this might still be related to drive to earn. But discrimination could also be a cause. Not for Uber, obviously.

But this was linked to secondary factors including speed of driving and areas that people were willing to visit. That is not discrimination it is choice.
