They might but they are slow and stupid and their nervous systems are slow to register pain. Also, when they strike in self-defence, they instantly release so you'd end up with two semicircles of tiny puncture wounds which might sting a bit but not much, A bee sting is much worse

They wouldn't constrict you because they can't eat you and it makes them vulnerable. They'd strike with their teeth and then try to get away from you.

I like the larger pythons but they are too heavy and too strong for me. I had a 10 foot Burmese Python called Moriarty but I could only just lift him and if he didn't want to go in his vivarium, I couldn't make him. I stick to Boa Constrictors now.
