What? Not once have I mentioned power/aggressor/ classes of victim. I asked you a genuine question, you are now straw manning.https://twitter.com/hpluckrose/status/1000694303021326337 …

This is the problem with seeing society in terms of systems of power with aggressor classes and victim classes. Everything becomes part of a scale with complimenting a woman's appearance at one end and rape & murder at the other. #MaleEntitlement #ToxicMasculinity #Patriarchy https://twitter.com/WeirdPsyience/status/1000692813279965184 …

*I* am arguing that the conflation you describe is caused by this mindset. I am not saying you claimed this. You might disagree. Tl me, it is clear that this is the consequence of Social Justice narratives rooted in postmodern ideas of social constructivism & discourses of power.

Cool. Thank you for clarifying. I wasn’t entirely sure if you meant that was part of patriarchal issue.

I don't think we live in a patriarchy. I think believing that we do and in the other things I hashtagged is the cause of the ridiculous conflation of flirting with harassment and harassment with violence etc.

Ah now I see 110% what you mean and why you # them. For me growing up with the queen as or head of state has always informed my view of Male and female balances of power. Equally All the women in my family are strong and independent (in some cases the head of their family)

Which, probably to my detriment made me feel naive in some cases with hindsight, led me to believe that women can be leaders as can men. Oh and Maggie was in power when I was a little kid too. In a way we have been both ahead of our time but behind it too.
