He/She is just repeating a line Michael Eric Dyson said the other day in that debate with Peterson and Fry, though it’s used in the states often. It’s the dismissive, tired and condescending line used by people more concerned with avoiding criticism than knowing the truth.

The the biggest hypocrisy of all: Judging people you don’t know as a group and then demanding they do the opposite for you. It makes no sense, is petty, and more about the need for control than about honest conversation. Race is just used as a front in this context.
