Some thoughts, Pt. 2: In the last months, in the wake of #MeToo
, the academic community (as example) has been talking about its lists, the whispered names, and so on. All of my online and nerd communities have had those too. Where women are, these whispers and lists also are.
So when Toronto happened and it turned out this dude was a true-blue reddit-style incel, I was completely unsurprised that it once again comes to this violence. They have been violent and dangerous for a long time. We've always known this. And they're dangerous in diverse ways.

Women have never thought the MRAs, the Red Pillers, the Incels, the Neckbeards, were ever just funny, peripheral, internet jokes. And if you map their networks, I can promise you'll see threads between Gamergate, the alt-right, Trumpism, MRA, and white supremacy.
