I wonder if we could put together a compelling ad with patients all answer a questions or a few related questions about what they wish others knew about #LongCovid ? “Lingering symptoms” is so insufficient to convey the reality.

In Australia I think the message around long Covid is lacking. I feel there’s still a mentality of you’re sick for a week then it’s all good. And I still hear the argument only old people die without consideration that we don’t know the social or economic impact of long Covid

Not really communicated I think(GER). They say "significant # of people have lingering symptoms", then use the same picture of people resting their head on the table as for cfs/me, people say "uh. sad". I don't see people fully understand it's a consequence of infection at all.

Leaves you quite helpless, dealing with cfs/me at least 6 years. I didn't even notice my initial infection. Long covid is what worries me too, but I have yet to see someone take it seriously who isn't already affected.

It's definitely not communicated well even in the US. I blame the
@CDC for this and their continued burial of their heads in the sand about it.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
