Not that ridiculous when you remember that to many aircraft & helicopters are seen as separate machines, same vein as 60163 Tornado on it’s own is a locomotive not a train as incorrect as either statement is

This is part of our ‘first of class’ generation process. We’re in a Capability Insertion Period (CIP). After each set of trials (power & propulsion, mission systems, rotary wing flying) additional kit needed for the next batch is added. Next up is fast jet flying trials.
