75 years ago the QUEEN ELIZABETH class Battleship HMS WARSPITE fired the first round on #DDay
Then ensured a long Allied campaign to liberate France and ultimately Europe.

Others may claim the honour but we in the Warspite Association are sure it was the old battlewagon! As were the veterans of her many WW2 battles, sadly now nearly all crossed the bar. Echo your salute to them all.
