This is painful. You ‘helm’ a warship, you don’t ‘drive’ a warship. ‘These women’, not ‘these woman’. And not ‘top 50 woman’s employers’. Beautiful ship nonetheless.
I have already apologised for the spelling however drive is quite the apt verb in the context considering the audience.

Good question & thank you for asking. IMO it’s either pilot or fly. But never, ever drive. Piloting & flying - a privilege & joy. A merry Christmas to you, your wonderful ship & crew.
We refer to a Command as ‘a drive’. In the colloquial sense, drive is entirely appropriate. I, for example have driven three ships...
I can’t count the number of RN personnel I have met who refer to ‘driving’ a ship, I guess I’ve got used to it now!
I DROVE a warship! I'm perfectly happy with the term 'drive'. As you say, consider the audience. Not everyone has nautical knowledge.
The colloquialism among Naval Officers is to describe themselves as "Ship Drivers."
