Yesterday one of our #F35 performed the Worlds first Shipborne Rolling Vertical Landing.
With this capability @thef35 can land with increased fuel and munitions load resulting in less wastage.
Looks pretty cool too!

Excellent - I always envisioned the srvl approach being faster but I only saw cgi sims from the cockpit point of view. Well done all.

Given this is the first one I suspect they're taking it easy before expanding the envelope. They did say it would be undertaken at 60-70 knots IAS. If they've got 20 knot wind over the deck and are motoring along at 20 knots the plane will look quite slow at 20 knots.
