Our Rotary Wing are also showing their metal on Search & Rescue duties. With a pitching, rolling deck; they certainly are earning their flying pay today!

Normally based on flying hours, type of sortie flown and general appearance they will get a wash and wipe down with corrosion inhibitor. Also engines get a wash to prevent salt build up on the compressor blades, sonar equipment and rescue winches also get washed and inspected

F-35 has a good safety record. Recent crash of USMC F-35b near Beaufort -preliminary report pointed to faulty fuel line. ACs operating on the
@HMSQnlz having been checked, and found to have a newer part considered safe. RN responsible and professional.
