I've debated whether to share what happened the night I went back to Dulles Airport to help two travelers arriving from Iran who were detained for nearly 7 hours. Retaliation is certainly something I've considered as an immigration lawyer, but these days it just seems so real.

How do they justify holding a US citizen?

Sounds like they didn’t justify it, they just did it anyway.

Followed. Please consider making the aforementioned CBPBS into a book/pamphlet, I’m sure
@aclu would value this info & assist you in creating it, they’ll want to sell it to clients, like their Know Your Rights booklets. Please seriously consider this. https://shop.aclu.org/know-your-rights/ …Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

It’s a simple fact that CBP doesn’t give a shit about the law and they have been given free reign to do whatever the hell they please. This reminds me of border crossings in wartime ex-Yugoslavia.

Another one I would get when calling CBP to confirm client detained (before they’re entered into system): Cannot give information “b/c of privacy law.” But I sent G-28. Doesn’t matter. Asked for his name so I could file complaint: “I don’t have to give you my name.”
