My thoughts too, in order for democracy to work, some requirements should be first filled, like IQ test, etc., if you are below X you dont get to vote. Cause majority will always be below predefined requirements, and they actually are deciding the fate of all...

Democracy is not about what is fair, it is about compromising conflicts of interests of different groups and making sure the system remains stable no matter who ends up in power. A system like that would be fair, but incredibly unstable without cultural change or repression.
