Always found it weird how the moon is the only celestial body in our known universe that does not spin on its axis. It just sits there still. Like a radar or satellite. What is the moon?

It's does, it's just tidal locked with Earth. Lots of moons are tidal locked with the planet they orbit. Our moon is unusual because its tidal locked to earth AND very large relative to Earth
