It's like any ancient ritual - the masses try to corrupt it. And those stalwart conservatives try to preserve it. I'm okay committing to her with a marriage contract. Actually, ironically, she was okay not getting married. I'm the dumb dumb who said "no, let's be traditional".
There is hope out there for sure. Good for you man. Takes balls. Especially in American or the UK in this day and age.

Yep. And both my and her parents got divorced, which shook us. It was actually more traumatic for me than my father's death, which I saw as natural. And despite all that, I'm pushing for it. I'll be a shining beacon, even if I end up making the "wrong" choice; eyes wide open.

Interesting indeed. Some would say that’s a good way to approach it to reverse the trauma - others would say - the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. But time will tell I guess Sir.
