My wee Granny used to keep butter in the cupboard in a little plate with a lid on it. I don't think you even have to keep butter in a fridge tbh now I think about it .

“I want to use real butter but it's too hard to spread” My God people give up so easily. Take it out the fridge and leave it sitting for a while Or if you must hurry - use your hand to melt it numbnuts.
